About AstroDigger.com
Astrology in a brief
Since the 3rd century BC astrology has had a leading influence on culture, astronomy, and many other aspects of the world as we now know it. In fact, astronomy only began to diverge from astrology, starting around the time of the Renaissance with its focus on scientific study. Historically, the influences of astrology can be found in ancient Babylon, ancient Egypt, and classical antiquity.
However, as throughout history, there are still various traditions and applications of astrological practices which can be found in all corners of the globe. Current astrological traditions include Vedic astrology, Western astrology, and Chinese astrology; all three of which are incorporated into modern astrology practices. Vedic and Western astrology traditions place much emphasis on astrological charts, the zodiac’s placement in the sky, and horoscopes while Chinese astrology places less focus on the sky and more on the celestial equator.
In recent years, new astrological traditions have also come to light which include psychological astrology, sun sign astrology, and cosmobiology. Some of these newer practices have begun to incorporate older esoteric traditions such as chiromancy, alchemy, numerology, and tarot divination which had previously been less used.
