Astrological Forcast - Things you can NOT change

PlanetAs you know, the planets are in constant motion, constantly moving their way around the zodiac.  You have no control over the movements that planets make in the sky and must accept them as non-controllable.  We must remember that a transit is what the planet’s movement through a house or sign is called.  It is the actual movement of the planets which are non-controllable transits.  Arcs are simply angular measurements between two planets or points and are used when interpreting a person’s astrological chart.

Although you cannot change the course that a planet may take in the sky, you can predict future horoscopes through the use of progressions.  A progression is simply a method of advancing the planets in their movements in relation to a particular natal chart to some point after birth.  It is fairly simple to calculate progressions.  Every day after a birth is equivalent to one year of life.  So, if you are interested in progressing a natal chart for someone who was just born for the age of 20, you would calculate a new horoscope for 20 days after that person’s birth.

It is important to remember that transits, arcs, and progressions are non-controllable, but what you make of the future is.  Predicting the future forecast will give you the possibilities of what is laid out.  It is up to you to make it what you will.

Pluto Transits

Pluto is one of the most influential planets in the zodiac because when it makes contact, you definitely know it.  No matter what Pluto comes into contact with, it is transformed in some way.  The planet itself represents death, rebirth, decay, and regeneration and rules obsession.  Pluto can be both very positive and negative.

Because Pluto is the slowest moving planet in the entire solar system it also transits through the zodiac very slowly.  In fact, it can take two years or more for Pluto to transit through a single house on your birth chart, and even more than twelve years to transit through all twelve houses.  Since the planet does move so slowly, the outcomes of Pluto’s influence can be quite diverse.

When Pluto transits into any of the twelve houses, that particular house will need your direct attention.  Whatever that house represents will undergo a drastic change.  It is important to be extremely careful when Pluto makes an appearance, since its processes are usually hidden and can lead to an explosion over time.  Furthermore, when Pluto transits into a zodiac house do your best to beware of temptation, as the planet also rules the underworld and illegal activities.

Neptune Transits

Neptune, the planet of dreams, delusions, ideals, and imagination, is an incredibly slow-moving planet in our solar system.  In fact, it takes about 164 years to make its way around the Sun, which is entirely too long for it to move through any human’s natal chart.  However, the transits are long-lasting, take time to make their presence known, and have quite an impact on our lives.  Neptune, which rules alcohol, can alter the image we perceive of any person or situation.

The way in which Neptune transits can affect our lives and depends greatly on whether or not we resist its influences.  In the early parts of the transit, Neptune’s influence can confuse many people since its ultimate purpose is to connect us with the intangible, spiritual side of things.  A Neptune transit can blur boundaries, confuse perception, and elude commitments.

Because Neptune acts to dissolve anything it touches, it often leads people to accept a more spiritual and fulfilling path after an intense burnout.  However, this burnout time can be quite serious in the form of drug abuse, excessive behavior, or mental anguish.  If a Neptune transit is taken head on and dealt with, you can prevail with a united soul and a little more wisdom.

Uranus Transits

The planet Uranus tends to give things a little shake whenever it transits into a house of the zodiac.  Uranus can bring complete chaos as well as revolutionary advances into a person’s life, both dramatically and suddenly.  Uranus is a relatively slow-moving planet that takes about 84 years to circle the Sun.  Uranus transits are typically long-lasting and unfold slowly – Uranus may stay in each sign for about six to eight years.

While the planet has the potential to turn things upside down, it often just gives us a little rattle making us feel restless for a while.  If a person resists the influences of Uranus things may be a little more difficult when dealing with this planet, which rules enlightenment, liberation, and independence.  When we experience a Uranus transit, we often know that we need to change something about our lives, but may not necessarily know what.

Uranus, as it transits, acts to disrupt things and to cause changes.  It redoes whatever it touches rather than destroying it.  Uranus in any house allows us to try new things and experiences, but always to take care.  Going crazy with new things when Uranus is transiting can become dangerous and have serious consequences.

Saturn transits

Every seven years or so, Saturn will transit through a natal point on your chart.  The planet itself takes about twenty-nine years to circle the Sun.  Whether the Saturn transit is square, conjunct, or opposite it will affect you deeply as it transits any natal point that is intensely personal, such as the Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus, or Mars.  Because of the intense effects of a Saturn transit, many people actually fear this time in their lives.

In general, a Saturn transit will represent achievement and maturity and important lessons are learned during these periods.  However, during these transits, we will experience delays, frustrations, pressure, and hardships because everything seems to have slowed down.  Despite these displeasures, a Saturn transit ultimately teaches us a life lesson.

A common by-product of a heavy Saturn transition is depression because of all the things that seem to pile on.  Major life decisions are usually made during a Saturn transition although many of the delays are small, simply irksome experiences like delayed flights, broken down cars, and a busted air conditioner.  During this time, we can often feel misunderstood, alone, burdened, and find others to be harsh and unsympathetic.  Despite all this, usually the most important lesson learned during a Saturn transit is to gain some self-responsibility.

Jupiter transits

Jupiter, a rather large and moderately moving planet, takes about twelve years to circle the Sun.  What this means is that about every three years or so, Jupiter will transit either opposite, square, or conjunct a natal point on your astrological chart.  While Jupiter transits are often associated with good luck and positive events it often simply allows us the ability to hope, dream, and feel great about ourselves.

A Jupiter transit will allow for personal growth, expansion of consciousness, and to enlarge our personal landscapes.  Whichever house Jupiter transits will feel the effects of the planet.  Motivation and confidence are common side effects of a Jupiter transit, even if typically you feel the opposite in whatever house.  Jupiter allows for quick bursts of clarity and assuredness.

Problems do arise during Jupiter transits in regard to just how good the planet makes us feel.  During Jupiter transits we must take care not to overdo it when it comes to confidence, since it can cloud judgment and cause us to forget reality.  It is during these times that employees work less hard and may even lose a job!

It is wise to never wait for a Jupiter transit to come your way simply to enjoy the benefits of positive experiences.  Remember to take hold of opportunities and take action, rather than wait for something to happen to you.

Mars transits

Essentially, Mars is the planet that rules energy and action.  Without it, nothing is happening.  Additionally, Mars is the planet of violence and anger, so during a Mars transit, watch out!  Mars is a relatively quick-moving planet and its transits tend to last only about two or three days.  These brief influences act to energize anything it comes into contact with.

A Mars transit does not bring about any deep or meaningful life lesson or transition, it just usually brings about activity.  This activity may either be negative or positive, depending on how you choose to deal with the planet’s influence.  The deeds that a Mars transition will influence will typically be everyday actions and small common events.

This is not to say that a Mars transit is unimportant, of course not!  In fact, a Mars transit may act as a trigger for a much larger event that may indicate a turning point in your life.  In addition to Mars transits, it is also important to keep an eye on the progressions of Mars, too.  The progressions of Mars have the same effect as the transits, but for longer periods of time – up to three years in some cases.
